What’s On The Menu

What's on the menu

This week it’s ALL about Thanksgiving!  And also leftovers!  Because even though we won’t be gathering per usual – I’m still going to make the classics.  I’m also going to go “cooking lite” this week because Thursday is the big day!

Sunday – Breakfast For Dinner

My youngest absolutely loves pancakes and to be honest in this crazy 2020 if eating pancakes can put a smile on his face then gosh darn we are going to do it!

Monday – Frozen Pizza

Yes, we are eating frozen pizza and not on Friday.  It’s Thanksgiving week – I’m taking it easy and easier.

Tuesday – Trader Joe’s Frozen Meal

As I said, I’m keeping it easy and easier this week. Frozen meatballs, Frozen veggies, and some sweet potato fries make this meal easy and easier!

Wednesday – Tacos

Yeah, I know Tacos during Thanksgiving week sounds weird right?  But I like to have something completely different than what I will be eating for the next 7 days!

Okay this is it – it’s the mother of all days…and here is what I’m making

  • Turkey Breast – You can get a frozen turkey breast that goes straight into the oven with no defrosting at your local grocer.  No need to brine all day!
  • Mashed Potatoes – Pro-Tip – add sour cream or cream cheese to your favorite mashed potatoes.
  • Crescent rolls – I make my own crescent rolls. My mom has the BEST recipe – it’s easy and delicious.
  • Green Bean Casserole – the classic one.
  • Corn Casserole – the classic one.
  • Trader Joe’s Cornbread stuffing.
  • Canned Cranberries – it’s my husband’s favorite way they are made and I’m here for it.
  • Chess Pie – I love this pie and I also love to make non-traditional desserts on Thanksgiving

Friday – Leftovers

I mean isn’t the best part of making Thanksgiving dinner eating it over again?

Saturday – Leftovers

Obviously, because I made so much on Thursday we shall be feasting on this all weekend.  And also I’m too lazy to cook anything else!
