Adventures With The Chevy Tahoe

Chevrolet provided us a vehicle and an experience in exchange for this post.

Let me tell you about our Adventures with the Chevy Tahoe!

Well, this was a first for us and it couldn’t have been possible without Chevy graciously loaning us the new 2021 Chevy Tahoe. We were fortunate enough to be able to use this incredible car over the holidays. We took this baby all over the OC looking for holiday lights, school drop off and pickups, and even moving some furniture.

Adventures of the Chevy Tahoe

The 2021 Chevy Tahoe showed up on my doorstep and it was love at first sight.

I have a big-ish car, but always said: “This car is too big – I won’t like it.” I was wrong, it’s perfect! The front row has captain chairs so my boys couldn’t reach each other to fight. Sounds silly, but anyone who has struggled with their kids being TOO close to each other knows the importance of distance!

As soon as the car arrived at our door my boys immediately asked if we could keep it forever. We snuggled up in some jammies and took the Tahoe out for a spin around the neighborhood that night to check out all the decorations. If you’ve read any of my other posts will know how obsessed my boys are with all things decorations. (Check them out here)

Surprise! we ended up at the OC Fairgrounds for their Night of Lights Drive-Thru Experience! Chevy gifted us the experience which included popcorn and cookies as a treat! As you can imagine there was quite a bit of a line to get in and anxiety started to rise as I anticipated how to entertain these two kids when there was nothing to do. I mean I brought all things, coloring books, cars, toys, even iPads. This car has WiFi enabled so I figured last resort they could mess around on their iPads.

Parked in line waiting to go in, the boys asked if they could run around the back and play. The seats in the back automatically lower so I didn’t have to get out and muscle the seats down and they played and played and played with no mind to the passing time.

And the car was big enough that my husband and I enjoyed our own convo in the front and the loud ones could play in the back.

Once we got moving it was MAGICAL! We moved at such a slow speed that the boys could hang out the window, and soak up all the joy and fun as we were immersed in the whole experience!

My favorite part had to be when they popped out of the moon roof and felt like they were the king of the world!!

(Yes that was a Titanic reference)

It was such a wonderful time adventure with the Chevy Tahoe and there is nothing better than seeing the pure joy in your kid’s faces as they get to experience literally their favorite thing in the whole world….Decorations and Blowups.

We ended the night with a family photo and headed on our way home with two exhausted and happy little boys. The next day we loaded up the car and headed off to the for a little family getaway…and this mighty car fit EVERYTHING and more for a family of four and we still had so much room – no one had bags sitting on their lap as they might have in my own car!

Having some wonderful family time was simply the best, but when we needed a grocery store run I gladly volunteered – jumped in my sweet new ride and bumped some 90’s jams and enjoyed some time to myself!

I have an affinity for some good bass in a sound system and this car delivered.

Needless to say, we were a little heartbroken to see the Chevy Tahoe go back and on to the next family to love it! And I look forward to the day that we can meet again!
