Why The Milk You Drink Matters … and an easy recipe!

0

There are roughly one million decisions to navigate as a mom. What pediatrician should I choose? When should I start potty training? What school will be best for them? When should I get my kid a cell phone? What about curfew? College applications or jobs? It literally never ends from pre-pregnancy until we have adult children. That is why I get extra grateful for easy swaps that make my life a bit easier. Easy swaps. Big impact. More mental space for the bigger decisions that I need to focus on. A perfect example of one of these swaps is the milk you drink! If your family is anything like mine, we use milk multiple times a day. Smoothies, cereal, recipes, + treats… milk is a staple for us. And as odd as it may sound at first, the milk you drink matters! Making the swap to a milk brand, like Organic Valley, that is safer for your family, takes zero brain space, and makes a difference in your family’s health.

Reason #1 Why It Matters

No extra hormones or antibiotics. Dairy that has antibiotics and growth hormones can seriously mess up our own hormones. As moms, we don’t want anything negatively impacting our own hormones. But even more than that? We definitely don’t want the hormones of our kiddos messed with. Organic Valley doesn’t use any antibiotics or hormones on their cows. Period.

Reason #2 Why It Matters

No pesticides. Nothing that the Organic Valley cows eat is ever sprayed with harsh pesticides. What does that mean for your family? It means that the cows live more natural, longer lives and that no pesticides are passed through their milk to you.

Reason #3 Why It Matters

Organic Valley has a network of over 1,700 small family farmers across the country which means they are helping pour into our local community, as well!

Animal lover? You will also really appreciate that they treat their animals really well. The cows get great food, they get to play in pastures, and they are raised in small herds so that they get adequate care. The average factory farm has thousands of cows. Organic Valley? They average a herd size of 78 on real family farms. There are even a few farms right here in California!

Simple swaps like this are basically my mom superpower because they make a big impact and are seriously simple.

Now that you are obviously adding Organic Valley to your shopping list… I wanted to share a super easy recipe to try with your kids!
