Staying at the Homewood Suites San Diego Downton/Bayside was incredible. This hotel is so cool. Around every corner is a different type of nook. There’s a nook with a few bar stools and a counter with plugins. Right beyond that is a sitting area with huge leather seats that are ridiculously comfortable.
Outside you can find firepits to grab a drink with your best friend or partner.
I loved every single minute of my stay!
I was alone during my stay, (can we take a moment for how amazing that was?!), but I definitely was keeping my eye out for how perfect it would be for a family.
First – let’s talk about the room.
It’s basically like Hilton looked at my family and created the perfect hotel room for us.
My room had TWO areas with TWO televisions. GLORIOUS!
How many times have you stayed in a hotel and had the television controlled by your toddler? We don’t have cable so when I find cable TV so what it’s on I want to scroll and see what there is! But, to make my life less stressful I usually let the kids decide.
Thankfully, Hilton thought of everything.
I also loved that there was a small kitchenette with a refrigerator and sink. Which was conveniently located next to the sofa and TV – the kids can grab their own water and their own snacks.
Truly vacation!
The location of the Homewood Suites San Diego Downton/Bayside was perfect. Little Italy was directly behind the hotel and the bay was right in front. I walked to the USS Midway Museum in a matter of minutes.
I could jump on a trolley right outside of the hotel and be on Coronado Island within the hour.
One of the best parts of staying at the Homewood Suites San Diego Downton/Bayside hotel was everything the hotel had to offer. From a pool and fitness center to a guest happy hour – all of the amenities were what you would expect from a first class hotel stay.
The View
The view from my room was truly spectacular. Seeing the sunset over the water was one of the highlights of my stay.
Bayside Kitchen + Bar
Do not miss your chance to go to the Bayside Kitchen + Bar. Fabulous cocktails, delicious food and a view of the water. They even have a drink and super cool reusable straw dedicated to the San Diego Seals – the professional LaCrosse team.
