Everyone knows that networking is part of owning a business, right? But nothing has really changed in the networking game. And everything has changed for a working mom owning her own business.
The old way of networking includes weekly meetings that can last 2-3 hours. And generally do NOT coincide with carpool pick-ups and drop-offs. And during those networking meetings the work part doesn’t get done.
Sure, you make connections, but for the most part, these meetings consist of going around the room and talking about how great their meeting is.
Moms don’t have time for this. We need an actual network that includes work because let’s face it – multitasking is our new normal.

On top of that, there are weekly ZOOM meetings – which started well before the pandemic because this group knows that moms are sometimes sitting in our cars while doing 300 things and getting to an actual location is a miracle in and of itself – that help direct you in your business.
Everything from creating a plan for all of your social media by month, getting in the hot seat to see what is working and what isn’t working, bouncing ideas off of each other, and so much more.
Content + Connection is networking in a new way, a better way and quite frankly a super fun way!
I went to a meeting for the first time (pre-pandemic) and not only did I learn a lot about each of the members but I also was able to bounce ideas and strategies off of each person in my group all while taking photos and creating content for OC Mom Collective.
I was able to get some amazing photos and ideas from all of the other women!
