Cox Communications, Angels Baseball, and the Angels Baseball Foundation are partnering to bring several community programs to Orange County this summer and fall. The organizations have a longstanding history of working together to provide schools with technology grants through assemblies that feature special appearances by Angels players and personalities such as Angels Radio broadcaster, Trent Rush.
The Cox and Angels summer and fall lineup will include:
- Angels players and Strike Force appearances in Cox Retail stores, with two having already occurred on June 14, 2025 (Quail Hill) and one coming up on August 16, 2025, in Lake Forest.
- Back-to-School backpack now through August 25 drive at the Rancho Santa Margarita Cox Retail store benefiting Boys and Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley (BGCCV). For every new backpack donated to the club, Cox will donate $5 to the BGCCV. There will be a drop-off bin in the store.
- A free baseball clinic on August 23, 2025, at The Great Park in Irvine at 9:00 a.m. (Full) and 11:30 a.m. and a special clinic for children with disabilities at 2:00 p.m.
- Classroom Connections assemblies will include appearances by Angels players, Angels game ticket giveaways, and STEM technology grants for the school. These will take place on September 8, 2025, at Ralph A. Gates Elementary School and on September 9, 2025, at La Madera Elementary School, both in Lake Forest.
