Christmas is this week! Which means a lot of things, and a lot of different types of food, but that’s okay because it’s Christmas time!
Sunday – BLTA’S
There is something so delicious about a BLTA. Bacon, lettuce, tomato, and avocado because we are in Cali and that’s just how we roll! I use Hawaiian rolls with mayo for mine.
Monday – Homemade Pizza
Yes, we do this every week. And no it most likely won’t change. Here’s the dough we use from the Pioneer Woman. I use whatever tomato sauce we happen to have laying around, BUT if I’m being super gourmet I will buy the pizza sauce from Trader Joe’s AND their Pizza seasoned shredded cheese.
Tuesday – Chicken Teriyaki
This recipe is pretty easy and kid-approved! Plus it lets me get veggies into the meal and that can always be a challenge for my kids – so win win!
Wednesday – Grilled Cheese + Tomato Basil Soup
Guys, have you ever used Mayo in your grilled cheese? If not, you are WELCOME! It truly makes the grilled cheese taste gourmet. I pair my grilled cheese with store-bought tomato soup from TJ’s and then add some basil, garlic powder, salt, and red pepper to give it a nice kick.
Thursday – Christmas Eve
I’m Italian and so we do pasta for Christmas even. I am very partial to this Pioneer woman recipe – but you can make any type of pasta you like!
And because it’s Christmas I will also make homemade breadsticks.
Friday – Christmas
This year it will just be our little family of four at Christmas so that means we won’t be pulling out all of the stops – instead we are getting steaks from Omaha Steaks along with their potatoes and apple tartlets!
Yep – I am breaking with ALL tradition this year which I usually do EVERYTHING from scratch but it’s 2020 and I don’t need the pressure!
Saturday – Leftovers
Day after Christmas shall find me in my jammies on the couch surfing online sales and hoping my kids don’t fight too much. So who has time to cook? Not me! Leftovers it is!
