restaurant weekCelebrate OC Restaurant Week March 4-10, 2018.

Nothing brings people together quite like food.  This annual event is celebrating their 10th year! For only 7 days, local Orange County restaurants are serving up delicious food and cocktails at amazing pre-fixe prices. For all the foodies out there, this event gives you the chance to explore and indulge in some of Orange County’s finest establishments.

The prix-fixe menus are priced at $10, $15, and $20 per person for lunch, and $20, $30, $40 and $50 per person for dinner. All you have to do is make reservations ahead of time at any of the participating restaurants!

Tips directly from OC Restaurant Week:

1. Wear stretchy pants (no need to explain)
2. Don’t grocery shop, cook, or do dishes (don’t have to tell me twice!)
3. Make lots of reservations (availability books up fast, do it quickly!)
4. Enjoy dining out all week with friends and family (it’s a win-win situation)
5. Enjoy life (food is life)

Click on OC Restaurant Week to find out more about this annual event, see the participating restaurants, and check out their pre-fixe menus.  You can also make some reservations directly via the participating restaurant links.

Some of my favorite restaurants are listed below:

Andrei’s Conscious Cuisine & Cocktails

Andrei’s only showcases the freshest local and organically grown produce, as well as naturally raised meats and sustainable seafood in their “Conscious Cuisine.” The story is so special. Andrei was diagnosed with a retinal eye disease in his 20’s, and he also became very aware of the impact that nutrition has on our health. In celebration of his beautiful life, The Olenicoff family opened this restaurant dedicated to those very same principles. They believe that healthy and happy go hand-in-hand.

Cha Chas Brea

Their Latin-inspired menu adapts both the culinary heritage of Mexico and Latin America with a fresh modern style.

Cucina Enoteca Irvine

One of my faves for Sunday brunch, a great place to hang out with a group of friends, or a casual date. The ambiance is a modern California-inspired Italian kitchen with a retail wine shop and restaurant together. They have outdoor dining where you can dine al fresco and people watch while sipping on your mimosa.

Fig and Olive

With a Mediterranean flair, this restaurant has an abundance of natural light, outdoor terraces, and a sophisticated yet relaxing atmosphere. It’s also fun to pull up into the driveway lined with Newport Beach’s finest sports cars in Fashion Island.

Habana Irvine Spectrum

What a beautiful new restaurant at Irvine Spectrum! This is their second location. (The original is in Costa Mesa.) You’ll enjoy the gorgeous decor throughout the entire restaurant. Be sure to check out the restrooms! They have Habana Nights every Friday & Saturday evenings with live entertainment as well as Sunday Brunch where you can feast on beautiful displays of seafood, roast chicken, paella, and made-to-order omelets. They also have a Cuban bakery attached to the restaurant.

House of Blues Anaheim

This new location serves to be the new happening spot in Orange County. The venue is double in size of its predecessor and has multiple entertainment rooms to please everyone’s musical tastes. The restaurant is large and has a full bar and a small stage for dinner music. Feast from a large menu featuring amazing salads, burgers, and entrees with a New Orleans flair.

La Vida Cantina

La Vida Cantina is a great spot if you feel like Sunday Brunch. They feature modern Mexican cuisine and have indoor and outdoor seating complete with palapas. They do pump up the jams with a DJ on Sunday and keep your glasses filled at all times if you opt for the Unlimited Mimosas or Bloody Marys. Be sure to get there before 11am if you want a seat outside. It fills up quickly!

Selanne Steak Tavern

I have yet to experience this restaurant, but, it’s a favorite amongst my friends. Selanne, a well-known Retired Anaheim Ducks Hockey player opened an amazing steakhouse and this placed is packed all the time. Keep in mind reservations will book up quickly during OC Restaurant Week.

Urbana Mexican Gastronomy

I am intrigued by the handcrafted cocktails and the modern twist on Mexican cuisine at Urbana Mexican Gastronomy. With menu items such as Birria Sope and Urbana Cod, I couldn’t resist! And the $40 pre-fixe dinner menu comes with the Don Juan cocktail pairing!! I have reservations here during restaurant week, so I’ll report back to you!

With the pre-fixe menus, OC Restaurant Week gives you an opportunity to try restaurants you’ve never tried before and at a set price. Whether you are enjoying a family dinner, going out for a romantic date, just hanging with a group of friends, or simply wanting to try a new place, this is the time to enjoy!

With over 150 participating restaurants, you don’t have to cook or clean up the dishes all week! What are you waiting for, go ahead and make your reservations!

Cynthia Miller
I am Cynthia, a full time working mom to two beautiful pre-teen and teenage daughters. I am married to my best friend and have been together for 25 years and married for 18, practically high school sweethearts! I am lucky to say I am an Orange County native exploring everything here and beyond with my daughters, husband and sometimes with our two pups in tow. In my spare time, I love blogging at https://themillerseffect.com to share about all of our foodie and travel adventures and get in a little “I Love Kickboxing” in the wee hours of the morning & night. I mean, who needs sleep anyway? I am an event planner that loves all things food, adventure, entertaining friends, and organization. Oh, shoes and clothes. Confession: I am a bona fide shopaholic. For the LOVE of shoes!!
