Pacific Coast Highway: 5 Family-friendly Stops in SoCal and Beyond!

Here are our top Anaheim favorite family stops along PCH!

Getty Center – Los Angeles

 A bit off PCH, this spectacular museum is chalk full of family fun.  There are exhibits, gardens, a tram, places for your children to run free and stretch their legs.  Up the way there’s even an amazing Noah’s Ark Exhibit that your kids won’t soon forget.  The best part is admission to the Getty is free, just don’t forget to pay to park.

Santa Monica Pier

Directly on PCH is the iconic Santa Monica Pier.  With rides and games –  your kids will have a blast!  On top of that just a couple of blocks up the street is the 3rd Street Promenade.  Loads of shopping and dining to suit everyone in your family.

 The Aquarium of the Pacific

The Aquarium is right in the heart of Long Beach and a definitely must-see for any family.  There is something for everyone at the Aquarium.  You and your children will love the marine wildlife. There’s even a small splash pad perfect for cooling off during a hot summer day.

Adventure playground

Adventure Playground is a little bit off of PCH, but it is the perfect place for little ones who LOVE a good playground.  Closed toe shoes are a MUST – and don’t forget to bring an extra pair of clothes for everyone.  You can make reservations – so add it to your trip’s itinerary!

Balboa Pier

Looking for a spot that has it all?  Look no farther than the Balboa Pier!  With a fun zone full of games and rides, shopping, and plenty ice cream shops this place is sure to be a hit with everyone in your family!  The beach is right across the street – sure to be the perfect stop.
