As a mom, I feel like cooking is my lone responsibility. Not only am I responsible for grocery shopping, but I also have to figure out a menu plan that my entire family will eat. Oh, and make sure that the menu includes healthy foods and snacks. Which can feel like an impossible task when everyone likes something different.
This is why I was thrilled to be introduced to Dole’s Now We’re All Cooking initiative. The goal is to promote healthy lifestyles by inspiring families to eat and cook together. Dole has teamed up with Disney to create original recipes, serving suggestions, digital and social activations, family-friendly activities, and fun trivia.
Since the pandemic began many of us are cooking from home more than usual and that is a great thing, BUt for many people, there is a fear that cooking from scratch is too difficult. But that’s not the case!
In fact, just like in the Disney Pixar movie Ratatouille – it is true that Anyone Can Cook! You just need to find the right recipe for you and your family.
Getting the whole family involved in meal planning and cooking starts can help get everyone on board with a healthy lifestyle.
I was able to make and test two fabulous recipes and I have to say they were SO good! And I’m not just saying that – in fact, I was actually really worried about the Potato Leek Soup. But I am happy to report that it was delicious!
Incorporating fresh fruit and veggies into your everyday meals isn’t as hard as it seems. And with the help of Dole and their fantastic list of recipes, this is even easier than you would think!
